On 06 September, Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), the country’s primary supplier of armoured combat vehicles, invited local media to tour its new Unmanned Aerial Systems Factory (UASF), a purpose-built facility for producing one-way attack (OWA) loitering munitions and small-factor drones.
Speaking to various Pakistani outlets, HIT officials outlined that the UASF currently focuses on four drone families, i.e., surveillance drones, drone interceptors, loitering munitions, and training drones.
Last month at the 2026 Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo, HIT revealed the first of its drone products, notably the D-248 and S-369 OWA loitering munitions and the P-905 interceptor drone-based counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS). In its media tour of the UASF site, HIT has shown that these systems have entered production at its facilities, indicating that it has moved beyond concepts and proposals, but towards solutions that, at the minimum, will be available for testing.
